Thin Folklore Online Workshop

£14.00

Liminality exists within all cultures and societies, stretching back over thousands of years. Through the lens of folklore, we can see liminality has played a powerful role within these stories and tales and together we will be exploring some examples that can be found in Welsh Mythology as Nos Galan Gaeaf and Samhain, the most liminal time of the year, approaches.

In this workshop, we will be delving into some Welsh folktales and stories, analysing the liminal elements and their connection to magic and Annwfn, the Welsh Otherworld, and having a bit of a refresher on how you can work with liminality. Together, we will go on a journey to link all of these elements together, and understand the power of liminality more intentionally.

Folktales aren't just ancient- they exist in the modern day too. One infamous example is the Nun of Llangranog, and we will be looking at modern examples too!

We will be sitting around a digital campfire, getting into the spirit of this time of the year, so you can take these stories forward and feel a deeper connection to them through the lens of liminality. Stories will be shared and a guided meditation and share circle will bring us full circle at the end.

This workshop is £14 GBP and will be happening over Zoom on Thursday 29th October at 6pm. Replays will be available, but for the best experience, come to the live event.
